OPEN and CLOSED
Some activities in the four day class are considered "Closed"- meaning we have an intended outcome. In this case, children were asked to paint what they saw in the sky- a project prompted by friends ' inquiries regarding clouds.
Other materials are presented to provoke children's innate creativity. Styrofoam blocks, feathers, pipe cleaners and beads prompted forests and tunnels from this imaginative group.
We've begun to explore " the way we want to be" as members of the 4 day Community. this topic is abstract, so conversations are bubbling regarding our expectations to : be safe, take care and play fair.
